Terms & Conditions
Welcome to Bergman’s Swim
School, home of the Orcas Swim
Academy – champions in the
making!
A booking is a continuously
reserved position in a class and
is secured for one month at a
time. When it comes to the next
month, your booking is
automatically rolled over to the
new month which requires a
payment for the whole month in
order to be secured. If a
monthly payment option is not
convenient for you, a weekly
direct debit account can be set
up as an alternative. Should you
wish not to continue your
enrolment with Bergman’s Swim
School, we ask that you please
give us 7 Days
notice being your
last anticipated swimming
lesson, so we can cancel your
automatic rollover into the new
month. Not notifying us of your
intention to cancel your
booking/s will result in a
liability to pay for the weeks
you were not attending and
automatically remained booked
into a class. Cancellation of a
direct debit account also
requires 7
days notice.
The centre is closed on all
public holidays. If your lesson
falls on a Public holidays a
Makeup will be automatically
placed into our system.
Makeups are offered to those
students who are not able to
attend their regularly booked
lesson for any reason.
Notification must be given of
your child’s absence PRIOR to
the lesson commencing. This not
only entitles you to a FREE
makeup, but also allows your
vacancy in the class to be
utilised by another child
requiring a makeup lesson.
Because the makeup lesson is
based on goodwill, all absences
will be forfeited when Bergman’s
Swim School is
NOT
notified and the chance to make
up the lesson will be lost. In
order to make use of the FREE
makeup, contact the centre
within 24 hours of the class you
wish to attend and we will offer
all possibilities for you to
catch up your missed lesson.
Please note that your makeups do
not expire so you can take as
little or as long as you like to
use them. Makeups, however, are
not transferrable from one child
to another and are not deducted
off the following Months fees
regardless on if you can use
your makeups or not. When you
exit from our swimming program
all make up lessons will be
deleted along with your booking.
Swimming caps are compulsory
for all swimmers who are
enrolled in a Level 1 class or
above at Bergman’s Swim School
for hygienic purposes. Goggles
are not compulsory however they
are strongly recommended because
children progress faster
learning to swim when goggles
are worn. It also helps protect
children’s eyes from our
chlorinated pool.
Everyone is welcome to use
the deck upstairs to view your
child’s lesson, however all
children must be supervised at
all times.
Due to health and safety it
is important that you do not
enter the swimming pool until
your lesson time begins and your
teacher commence your allocated
class.
We wish to thank you for the
opportunity you have provided
Bergman’s Swim School to teach
your child how to swim. If you
ever wish to discuss anything
with us, please do not hesitate
to make contact us or visit us
at the centre.
Yours in swimming, Donna and
Paul Bergman
